Winter Sun

There is something about winter sunshine that is far more joyful than a bright summer's day could ever be. Although the air is crisp and the cold hugs you close, the feeling of that sunshine is almost ineffable. Admittedly I was indoors yesterday despite those bright blue skies, however there was a felicity upon looking out of that window.

As Christmas comes closer, I always find myself seeking out outfits to express the festive period. Yesterday I decided to use red as the undercurrent for my outfit. Wearing a red plaid shirt under my grey sweater, and red socks with my black jeans, I wanted the colour to be understated rather than a simply red outfit. I also decided to wear a bow tie with the plaid shirt, as many may have already discovered, there is something about juxtaposing concepts in clothing that I enjoy. Mixing those smart and casual elements adds a lovely twist.
