No Excuses

FW 08/09

Unconditional have always intrigued me as a brand, indeed their shows at London Fashion Week are always highly anticipated. This is in part due to their energetic and creative designs, of which there are many in any given show, which have a great variation even in the singular season's collection. However what I have always found interesting is their collections are the men's outfits, which they send down the catwalk alternating with the women's.

As is usual for fashion the women's clothing gets the major attention, yet for me the men's is far more exciting. What I like about the designers is that they make no apologies for what they design and send out, you get the feeling that they have given the exact concept they started with, with little editing. Although the end result from this technique means there are inevitably pieces that I dislike among the collection, I admire the variation. It is, for me, a refreshing outlook and makes a nice addition to the shows.
