The collection as a whole was certainly not Yohji at his best, it was a touch too busy in places, lacking that certain sense of restrained elegance, or playful demureness, that for me makes his work so magical. The collection was the product of a company at one of its most turbulent times, but even so, there was for me immense beauty to be found. I far preferred the quieter looks - my favourite look was actually the second one I have posted, a simple black dress. Make it simple, make it subtle, make it intimate, make it natural. I don't like things that are too loud, there is already far too much noise in the world, I want something that whispers its beauty in my ear.
