Sunday Viewing: [Rec]
The flu is about as pleasant as having to catch a wily skunk with your fumbling hands, hold it up high and lick it. Whilst incidentally also having to do so totally naked in a field of ice...which I imagine a few people out there in the vastness of it all probably find rather appealing, however certainly not myself. I have always felt the flu is far too blunt as an ailment, it grips you rather violently and turns you into a zombie overnight (well, without the sudden dietary urge for human flesh and brains).
In the spirit of the living dead, I thought it would be rather nice to share one of my favourite modern zombie movies. If you were expecting a Romero flick, you have the wrong director, and in fact the wrong country. I would like to point your attention towards an amazing Spanish horror movie entitled [Rec].
If you happen to scare easily, you may want to avoid this. I tend to find most so-called horror movies these days rather lacking, making up for their absence of actual horror through excessive gore, however this movie certainly does not disappoint on either account. Indeed it may just leave you shaking for days.
So come on in, curl up on the sofa with a blanket, take a hot cup of tea and a cupcake, gather your wits about you and enjoy...
