Making An Icon

It would be fair to say that many of these opening shots of editorials by Mario Testino are iconic. And indeed, I have always found it odd that whenever I hear the name Lady Diana, I shall always picture the shot at the top of this post. The power of an editorial is such that it can become a defining moment for the person covered. It can stage them as a new voice, spreading their name through the households of millions; or change the way in which we see them, as having made the change into adulthood; or indeed, it can completely redefine them, changing our perception of them forever.

I often wonder what we shall look back on as having being the iconic shots of this decade. Which shoots do you think they will include?
