Within the concept of language and words there is an inherent power far greater than it is really ever possible to comprehend. Yet far from being intimidating or daunting, a quiet moment curled up with a well writen book is a comforting thought for most.
Along with the Vogue Italia editorial, I thought I would also share a few photographs from a book that I discovered online a short while back. The idea of a book with photography of library interiors would most probably sound dreadfully boring to most, yet personally I find these tantalising few images stunningly beautiful. Many may recognise Candida Höfer's work, famous for interior photography in many of the most well known buildings across the world.
I have always found something magical about libraries, it is the idea of millions of voices contained on those tall and majestic shelves. I also find a comfort in old books, I love going to charity shops and buying well thumbed copies of old literature and historical books. The idea of giving a new lease of life to words that someone obviously loved and read often is a warming one.
