Colour Play

I had a doctor's appointment early this morning and was deciding on what outfit to assemble for the day whilst watching the director's commentary for Enemy at the Gates. For the past few days I have watched a number of city workers walking down my street to and from the train station covered, almost overpowered into submission by thick black coats. There is something about rush hour in London which always fills my mind with visions of a sea of people in dark and oddly sized clothing. With that in mind, I therefore decided to inject some colour into my clothing for the day.

I picked my purple jeans, which some may remember I studded the back pockets of, a while back. Playing against the purple I chose to wear a pistachio green pashmina scarf, over a cream coloured wool jumper. There is something about wearing rather eye catching colour combinations that appeals to me, I have always found a comforting power in colour over all dark ensembles. Given the wet and murky weather, I also decided to wear boots, in this case opting for my leather brown brogues.
