Happy New Year!

2008 has been a wild year to say the least. There was the historical Presidental Elections that seemed to sweep the entire world. The wonderous Birds Nest Stadium and the thrill of the Beijing Olympics, during a non-existent summer. There were the tragic loses of Heath Ledger, Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes. Then with the global economy going somewhat crazy, the odd occurence of my penny jar having more money than the whole of Iceland. It has been a year of liquid latex leggings and iPhone 3Gs, with the likes of American Apparel and Apple ostensibly the only companies keeping the financial system from drowning. Facebook seemed to infiltrate all parts of life, with a couple in Australia being served divorce papers via the social networking site. We also learnt that pirates still roam the seas, and when the police are unable to start a telephone conversation with them, a small five year old girl is able to accidently call them.

It was also the year some kid living in London decided to start documenting and discussing his interests in fashion on the internet with some truly lovely people.

I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. Hopefully 2009 holds wonderful memories and beautiful times for us all.
