Safety pin to the rescue!

Today I had yet more doctors to visit for various reasons, meaning I was out for most of the day. Unfortunately my health was rather severe yesterday, however I am somewhat better today. I spent the day in bed wearing nothing but white shalwar bottoms (loose fitting pyjama bottoms of a South Asian origin). As such I decided that today I would make up for that lazy but unavoidable choice.

I decided to wear a light blue shirt with a dark blue knitted tie. Unfortunately I could not find my silver tie pin this morning, being slightly rushed to keep an appointment. I therefore decided to go with an option I remember my father having worn in the past and oddly enough having also spotted on The Satorialist, which was the safety pin. Over this I wore a simple grey cardigan, and my raw denim jeans. Since I wanted to wear my pointed brogues, I felt it was necessary to wear some smart socks, as opposed to the brightly patterned ones I had planned on wearing. As such I went for the red socks, which my uncle swears by wearing on his suits.

Thank you all for the lovely comments, I shall try to comment back as soon as possible. Oh, and stay tuned for Part Three of my series on my thoughts of fashion in our times.
