On The Hunt...

Nothing overly exciting today, however I have had this image knocking around my laptop for quite a while. I am wondering whether anybody knows where I could find a pair of trousers similar to these? Although they may not appeal to many, I am rather attracted to the unique style and fit of these, as well as the oversized buttons on the front. I am also rather keen on the colour, as they happen to be somewhat unusual, yet at the same time quite muted and not overly loud. I would also pair them tucked into Doc Martens, however my pair are the 8 eyelet style, therefore far more of the tapered legs of the trousers would be visible. I would also like to try these on with plimsoles or low profile footwear in order to see how the tapered ankles would suit them. If anyone knows where these trousers, or something similar, is on sale, I would be most grateful - if not to buy, then at least try on!

Another pair of trousers I quite like are the jeans in this photograph. Although I would personally wear the jeans higher, I like the wider thighs with the tapered legs and ankles. Personally I am reminded of riding bottoms, which I love the silhouette and fit of. These jeans are now officially on my shopping wish list. And may I also add that I really like the personal style of this gentleman, it is laid back and simple, yet works very well for him.

The fit of smart trousers is something that has always interested me, especially how the style of trouser is translated into a casual look via the unique fit. Unfortunately these purple cotton slim fit trousers are no longer on sale in my size, however I really do like the slim fit and also the colour. Personally I think men should take more risks with the colour of their trousers - sticking to dark colours is always sensible, however I would always recommend experimenting with a splash of colour and seeing if it fits in with your style and personality!
